UNESCO City of Literature Residency 2022

UNESCO City of Literature Residency 2022

I’m extremely honoured to be invited as the Wonju City of Literature Writer in Residence for 2022. I will be staying and working at Toji Cultural Centre near Wonju City in Gangwon province. The Toji Cultural Centre was founded by Pak Kyong Ni. Pak Kyong Ni’s Toji (The Land) a 20-volume epic novel is an acclaimed classic and one of the most important works of Korean literature. I’m excited to visit her museum while there.

There are no requirements or expectations as part of the residency, but I do have writing plans of my own that I would like to achieve. I’m also looking forward to meeting with the other Korean and international writers and artists who will also be staying at the centre.

I’ll post updates on my twitter and instagram!
