Online ‘Exquisite Corpse’
BBC Audiobooks America recently held an eight day story event on twitter. Using an opening tweet from British author Neil Gaiman, followers were asked to submit ideas to move the story forward. Anyone could submit ideas, using the #bbcawdio hashtag.
Sam was brushing her hair when the girl in the mirror put down the hairbrush, smiled & said, “We don’t love you anymore.” (Posted by Neil Gaiman, @neilhimself)
Eight days later, in between working I’d managed to submit six pieces that were accepted as part of the overall story. (The name switches part way through as people following my usual twitter account, thessilian, complained of the spam.)
Sam took a step back, patting her pockets. She felt a small bump in the left one, just about the size and shape of a marble (via thessilian)
“And let me tell you, the avocado got the best out of THAT deal.” (via thessillian)
“But she tried to cheat… (via thessaly_wake)
“Prince!” Badge said, bending one knee to the floor. “I didn’t tell her no secrets.” (via thessaly_wake)
“Prince, what happened? Are you okay?” Sam rushed up to him, trying to help. But he held up his sword in warning. (via thessaly_wake)
“But it’s not. That’s more than a reflection. It’s a part of you.” (via thessaly_wake)
Here’s a brief summary of the whole story over the eight days. I’ll add a new post when the audio book is recorded.
